About the event
The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year, it’s also from when the days start to get longer, moving out of darkness and into the light. On this night of the shortest day, we will celebrate by moving our bodies to music.
Rhythm & Rapture is inspired by my experience of dancing and playing music for 5 Rhythms and Ecstatic Dance, both forms of conscious and expressive dance.
Through Rhythm, we connect with the ground and the earth that holds us. It’s an opportunity to let go of what no longer serves us, and move towards Rapture, the joy and light that restores us.
No experience or prior knowledge is required. All that is needed is an open heart and mind, and a healthy dose of curiosity. This is a safe space for you to dance and shake (out) your stuff, if you are so inclined. If n…
