Pitchcott 525 is our new monthly music night. Through the autumn and winter I’ll be inviting DJs as well as some live acts to play on our exquisite sound system.

For this first night I’ll be playing all night long some special records from my collection.

‘Northern Exposure’, mixed by Sasha and John Digweed, was first released 30 years ago. The duo had recently collaborated on the Renaissance Mix Collection, an epic compilation of music, and they followed it up in spectacular fashion. I had never heard anything like it before, it’s an emotive, ethereal and euphoric mix of electronic music that blew my mind. If you like your dance music described in genres, well, it’s a bit of everything - ambient, electronica, breakbeat, house, techno, trance - all expertly layered to create a mind-bending emotive landscape.
