About the event
This Bonfire Night we’ll be serving nutritious treats cooked on our Kadai barbecue. Gather round as we explore the powerful connections between soil, farming, food and our health, with a talk from Public Health Nutritionist and former vet Dr Lucy Williamson, author of Soil to Gut, woven together with beautiful short films from Six Inches of Soil, produced by Claire Mackenzie, who has been listed in this year’s Independent Climate 100 List of the world’s leading environmentalists.
Our modern food system can work against our health, our farmers and the land, while an avalanche of nutrition advice leaves us confused about what to eat. Soil to Gut cuts through the noise, bringing together clear, evidence-based nutrition advice with the vital connection between healthy soil, nourishing food and a healthy gut. Six Inches of Soil inspires with three short newly released films, with soil at the centre of them - what’s gone wrong…
