Autumn Equinox Rhythm & Rapture

The Autumn Equinox marks the last day of astronomical summer and the dawn of autumn.

We will gather at 7pm as the sun sets for the final time in summer 2026. Weather permitting, we will start the evening outside with a prime view of the sunset and the distant horizon, and there will be time for introductions before we move inside to dance.

The evening will include some guidance and explanation of 5 Rhythms, a conscious dance practice that was originally developed in New York in the 1990s by Gabrielle Roth as way of inhabiting the body and releasing it from the over-thinking mind. Rather than structured or planned movements, the practice allows the body to do what it naturally wants to do, in each unfolding moment.
